Join us on June 27, 2024 at 5-7 p.m. for our webinar on Breast Health for Immigrant Women. HEED Finland ry / Health is Wealth and Tunne rintasi ry are joining forces to organise a free webinar for all immigrant women.
Shadi Azam, Ph.D., Postdoctoral Associate at the Division of Epidemiology at Weill Cornell Medicine, a breast cancer epidemiologist, talks about the incidence of breast cancer among immigrants, as well as the symptoms, risk factors, treatment, and prognosis.
Pilvi Kyrönlahti, Nurse and Healthcare Specialist at Tunne rintasi ry talks about the steps of beast self-examination and mammography screenings in Finland. Check out https://tunnerintasi.fi/in-english/ for information in English.
A breast cancer survivor, Nancy Hursti from Kefiso ry talks about her journey from diagnosis to recovery.
The talks will be followed by a question and answer session, moderated by Emma Tamankag, nurse and senior nurse lecturer.
