Impact of Covid-19 on Post Graduate Studies

Women Designed for Success (WODESS), HEED Association Finland (HEED Finland), and Els Academic Hub in collaboration with University of Limerick, and University of Helsinki are organizing an online conference in celebration of International Women’s month, focusing on “WOMEN IN ACADEMIA” to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on Doctoral studies. The conference will be held online via Zoom on Friday, March 26th, 2021, from 17:00 -19:00 EET and streamed live on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Twitch.

The purpose of the conference is to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on post-graduate studies with a particular focus on women in academia. The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day was “ChooseToChallenge” and will be integrated into the content and discussions during the conference.

Speakers during the conference will include a keynote speaker, a moderator, and panelists. The panelists constitute Doctor candidates, university lecturers, and recent Doctoral graduates. The conference will cover challenges faced by women in academia from the perspective of national and international students, graduates, and university lecturers, focusing on strategies to overcome these challenges.
